Ten sex workers have been arrested on charges of alleged prostitution from a house located in Panchikawatta. Police said that the owner of the premises, who allegedly runs the place, was also taken into custody.
It is learnt that the women who have been arrested are from the areas of Grandpass, Ragama, Devinuwara, Thalangama, Seeduwa, Welimada, Biyagama, Colombo and Peliyagoda.
Investigations are being carried out by the Colombo Central Criminal Investigation Division (CCCID).
