Jaffna tsunami warning tower collapses (pictures)

A tsunami warning tower erected off Kankesanthurai in Jaffna has collapsed following heavy rains and strong winds, police say.

However, the Hiru News correspondent reports claims by area residents that the tower had collapsed due to not having had any maintenance for a long time.
