Landslide reported in Wewelwatta, Ratnapura

A landslide has occurred in Uda Nugepola, Hapugastenna in the Wewelwatta Police Division in Ratnapura last night.

The police stated that about 100 meters of the area has been affected by the landslide.

However, no houses or property were damaged, while no casualties have been reported, police said.

Police said that the people in the houses located below the landslide-affected area have been directed to safer places.
