Former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte’s private secretary found dead in Katugastota

A private secretary to former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte was found dead today (20) in a house located in the Katugastota area, police confirmed.

Kandy police reported that a personal secretary of former Kandy District MP and former Minister of State Lohan Ratwatte has been shot dead.

The 49-year-old, a resident of Werellagama, was discovered with gunshot injuries, and a firearm was found near his body.

The individual succumbed to gunshot injuries today (20) after being admitted to the Kandy National Hospital in critical condition.

Authorities have not yet determined whether the death was a result of suicide or homicide. Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
