32ND REMEMBRANCE OF FORMER PRESIDENT RANASINGHE PREMADASA OBSERVED

The 32nd death anniversary of former President Ranasinghe Premadasa was commemorated yesterday (01).

To mark the occasion, a remembrance ceremony was held near his statue near the Hulftsdorp Court Complex, Colombo, under the patronage of his son, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

Former President Ranasinghe Premadasa was assassinated by a suicide bomber during a May Day rally in 1993.

In remembrance, a Dhamma sermon was also held yesterday evening at the Sucharithashala premises in Gunasinghapura, Pettah.

The event was attended by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and his family, among others.
