NORTHERN RAIL LINE TIMETABLE REVISED: INTERCITY EXPRESS TO RUN DAILY

The Department of Railways has revised the timetable for trains operating on the Northern Line.

Effective tomorrow (7), the Intercity Express train, which previously operated only on weekends, will now run daily between Mount Lavinia and Kankesanthurai.

Additionally, the departure time for the Yal Devi train, which currently leaves Colombo Fort at 5:45 AM for Kankasanthurai, has also been revised. From tomorrow, the Yal Devi will now depart from Colombo Fort at 6:40 AM.
