The funeral for the late former State Minister Lohan Rathwatte will be held on Sunday, the 17th of August. According to his family, the last rites will take place at 5 p.m. at the family burial ground in Nittawela, Kandy.
Rathwatte's body will be placed at his Mahaiyawa residence for the public to pay their final respects from this evening.
The former State Minister, who was 57 years old, passed away this morning while receiving treatment at a private hospital. He had been suffering from a severe liver condition for some time and his health deteriorated after he contracted pneumonia.
