COPE hears of irregularities in Lanka Sathosa

A 4-storey bulding in Killinochchi, which was built using Rs. 200 million of Lanka Sathosa funds, is being rented out for Rs. 200,000 a month.

This was revealed to the COPE Committe.

It was also revealed that the officials and staffers of Lanka Sathosa were siphoning hundreds of thousands of rupees worth of funding in incentive allowances, without the approval of the Treasury.
