The National Water Supply and Drainage Board states that they are ready to distribute drinking water via bowsers to public places based on requests and requirements following an emergency breakdown in a main supply line from Ambatale to Dehiwala.
Chairman Chandana Bandara mentioned that water is already being supplied to the Kalubowila and Mulleriyawa hospitals using bowsers.
Due to this sudden breakdown, the water supply to several areas in Colombo remains suspended since this morning.
The Water Board plans to restore the supply before 6:00 AM tomorrow.
