Three women arrested over death of female resident

Three women allegedly involved in a dispute with a deceased woman are in custody following the discovery of a female body on the beach at Jubilee Road, Koralawella. Police Headquarters stated that Moratuwa Police are conducting investigations into the matter.

The victim was a 34-year-old resident of the Koralawella area in Moratuwa. According to Police Headquarters, Moratuwa Police initiated investigations yesterday (22) morning after residents reported a body washed ashore.

A wide-scale investigation is underway to confirm if the death resulted from homicide or other causes. Investigations revealed a recent personal dispute between the deceased and several other women. Consequently, Moratuwa Police arrested three suspects linked to the conflict and are currently conducting extensive interrogations.
