Approximately 25 acres of the Loggill Forest Reserve in Hatton, Kotagala were destroyed by a fire that broke out last night (28).
Residents stated that a group of individuals likely set fire to the mana-grass-covered reserve around 6:00 PM. Reports indicate that Loggill Estate workers obtain their drinking water from sources located within that specific reserve.
