A special WhatsApp service has been introduced by the Government Information Centre (GIC) to assist the public with registration for the National Fuel Pass, a relese said.
Accordingly, individuals facing difficulties in the registration process can obtain assistance by following the steps below.
Applicants are required to send their vehicle number (Vehicle Number) via WhatsApp to 076 000 1919. (The vehicle number should not be sent as an image.)
In addition, clear images of the following documents should be sent to the same number:
- National Identity Card (NIC) / Driving Licence or Passport
- Vehicle Licence
- Certificate of Registration (CR)
Only the registered owner of the vehicle is eligible to apply. The identification number provided must correspond with the owner’s details stated in the Certificate of Registration (CR).
All personal data submitted will be protected in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.
It is further stated that the information collected will be used solely for validation purposes, and all personal data, except the vehicle number, will be removed from the system after the verification process is completed.
