Three-wheeler fares have increased by Rs. 10 effective today (23), following an announcement by the Western Province Road Passenger Transport Authority.
Under the new fare structure, the charge for the first kilometer rises from Rs. 100 to Rs. 110.
Additionally, the rate for every kilometer thereafter has been adjusted to Rs. 90, up from the previous price of Rs. 80.
In a simultaneous development, the All-Ceylon Bakery Owners' Association stated that the prices of bread and all other bakery products will also increase by Rs. 10.
This price revision is set to take effect from midnight.
