A total of 966 suspects were taken into custody during a countrywide drug prevention programme conducted yesterday (7) under the "Ratama Ekata" initiative, according to Police Headquarters.
Authorities currently hold 11 suspects for further questioning, while three individuals were sent for rehabilitation.
The operations included 335 raids related to heroin and 384 involving ICE.
Additionally, police seized 205 grams of cannabis and conducted 51 raids targeting narcotics such as psychotropic pills, kush, and hashish.
The mission aims to completely eradicate the spread of drugs in the country through a multi-pronged approach, including disrupting supply, reducing demand, and expanding enforcement operations.
Police further stated that the programme focuses on rehabilitating addicts, implementing prevention programmes to stop drug abuse, and empowering communities against narcotics.
This initiative remains active across the island under the instructions of the Inspector General of Police.
