An SLTB bus traveling from Hambantota to Colombo collided with a backhoe loader in front of the Hambantota Port City today (09) at approximately 01:30 AM.
Ten passengers on the bus sustained injuries and were admitted to the Hambantota General Hospital.
The Hambantota Port Police stated that the condition of the injured individuals is not serious.
The incident occurred when the backhoe loader attempted to cross the road toward the port as the bus was passing.
Port Police are conducting further investigations.
