The WhatsApp account of Namal Rajapaksa, Member of Parliament and National Organiser of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, was disabled yesterday (10) due to an influx of birthday calls and messages.
The account deactivation proved temporary, and he managed to restore it quickly.
As is his annual custom, he observed his birthday by worshipping at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Maha Seya, while also visiting the Mihintale Katu Seya.
He arrived in Anuradhapura the day before his birthday accompanied by Limini and their two sons. No birthday party was held this year.
