A special traffic plan will be implemented by the Colombo Traffic Division tomorrow and the day after due to the official visit of Indian Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan to Sri Lanka.
The Vice President will arrive at the Katunayake International Airport on the morning of the 19th.
His convoy will travel along the Katunayake-Colombo Expressway, entering via the Orugodawatta junction in Grandpass, proceeding along Baseline Road to Borella junction, and turning right at D.S. Senanayake junction.
The route continues through Horton Place, Nelum Pokuna roundabout, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Public Library junction, Flower Road junction, and Liberty roundabout.
From there, it will turn right at St. Michael’s roundabout, left onto St. Michael’s Road, right onto Galle Road from the St. Michael’s junction, and proceed through Galle Face roundabout and Galle Face Centre Road to reach the Taj Samudra Hotel.
Alternative routes can be used by vehicles travelling along the aforementioned roads during the time the convoy is in transit.
