Vehicle used in Galle shooting found abandoned

The red car used by suspects to flee after a fatal shooting at the Dickson Junction in Dangedara, Galle, this morning was discovered near a cemetery in the Dadalla area.

Police stated that an individual arrived in the vehicle, carried out the shooting, and fled the scene.

The victim was a 43-year-old resident of the Welhengoda area in Ahangama.

According to police investigations, he operated a money-lending business.

Authorities suspect that a financial dispute likely led to the incident.
