Jagath Samantha sentenced to over five years in prison

Jagath+Samantha+sentenced+to+over+five+years+in+prison

A prison sentence of 5 years and 6 months was imposed on Jagath Samantha, the brother of the late former State Minister Sanath Nishantha and a former Chairman of the Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha.


The punishment was ordered after convicting him of several charges, including threatening the Secretary of the Pradeshiya Sabha, obstructing duties, and being a member of an unlawful assembly in the year 2007.
