Police discovered an unidentified male body suspected to have died after being caught in a water current in a paddy field near the Deepangoda highway in Homagama today, approximately three days after the incident.
The recovered body belongs to a male individual around 60 years of age.
At the time of discovery, the body decomposed beyond recognition.
Police suspect the individual died after being caught in a water current flowing through the middle of the paddy field located near the highway running from Homagama towards Kalutara.
Mattegoda Police conduct further investigations to identify the deceased individual and to determine the cause of death.
