A motorcyclist died after a collision in the Uthurukabillawela area on the Threemal Road in Bandarawela last night (16).
Police stated that a motorcycle travelling from the direction of Bandarawela towards Badulla on the Threemal Road collided with a car coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist and the pillion rider sustained severe injuries and were admitted to the Bandarawela Hospital, where the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was a 22-year-old resident of the Batticaloa area. The driver of the car was arrested, and the Bandarawela Police are conducting further investigations.
