The main demands contained in the letter sent by the Prison Officers' Union to the Commissioner General includes requests for care and wellbeing of their families.

The union requests in the letter to take steps to have the future of the family members of the deceased officers fully taken care of through the intervention of the Department of Prisons or the Government.
