The Cotta Road railway crossing on the Kelani Valley railway line will be closed and train operations will be limited on May 23 and 24 due to an essential renovation activity, the Railways Department announced.
Accordingly, train operations are amended from 9.30 a.m. on May 23 until 7.30 a.m. on May 24, the Railways Department said.
The Cotta Road railway crossing will be completely closed for vehicular traffic during that period.
Meanwhile, train operations will not occur between the Colombo Fort and Narahenpita railway stations on the Kelani Valley line during that period, and three slow trains are scheduled to start journeys from the Narahenpita railway station on the afternoon of May 23 and run to the Avissawella railway station.
Furthermore, three slow trains are scheduled to start journeys from the Avissawella railway station on the morning of May 24 and run to the Colombo Fort railway station.
