The Western Province South District Crime Division received information that an individual directly connected to a major drug network was carrying a stock of narcotics and would leave the Embiila Gahawatta area in Boralesgamuwa within about an hour, which enabled them to arrest the suspect.

Police stated it was further revealed from the suspect that he receives a monthly salary of 100,000 rupees for these activities.
