Chairman of the Industrial Development Board of Ceylon (IDB), Ravi Nissanka, has tendered his resignation, sources said.
He has reportedly cited personal reasons for stepping down from the post.
Nissanka had also sent a message to his contacts announcing his resignation with effect from today (May 29), stating: “Thank you for your support and encouragement during my tenure.”
When contacted, an official from the IDB Chairman’s office said that Nissanka had last visited the office on Wednesday (May 27) and had subsequently submitted his resignation letter to the Ministry.
