'Loku Paty,' who was in remand custody over an alleged money laundering case involving Rs. 330 million credited to his account under the Money Laundering Act, has been further remanded until June 12 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (29).
The order was issued after submissions made by the Illegal Assets Unit.
Two suspects, including the Ganthara Devalaya priest, who were previously in remand custody in connection with the case, were released on bail on the previous hearing date.
The first suspect in the case appeared before court via Zoom technology.
The case is scheduled to be taken up again on June 12.
