Two nabbed trying to dump poultry waste into Hatton Oya

Two suspects were arrested last night (29) while attempting to dispose of a large quantity of chicken waste into the Hatton Oya.

Police also seized the lorry used to transport waste collected from chicken shops in Hatton town.

The suspects were caught during a raid conducted by officers of the Hatton Police Environmental Unit, while transporting the waste in a small lorry.

The suspects and the vehicle are due to be produced before the Hatton Magistrate’s Court.
