Tourist arrivals rise 9.65% in May

Sri Lanka welcomed 145,745 tourists during the month of May, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority stated.

This represents a 9.65% growth compared to the 132,919 tourist arrivals recorded in May 2025.

The highest number of tourists arrived from India, and that number stands at 60,342, the authority said.

The total number of tourists who arrived in the country so far this year stands at 1,022,022.
