Three wild elephants fell into a well in the Neluwayaya area of Kithulkote, Thanamalwila, early today (4).
Our correspondent stated that two adult wild elephants and a small elephant calf were seen falling into the well.
Villagers mentioned that these three wild elephants, who entered the village and roamed around during the night, tumbled into the well in this manner.
Upon being informed of the incident, wildlife officers arrived at the location immediately, and they commenced a special operation to rescue the three wild elephants fallen into the well safely.
