The joint opposition group managed to establish its governing power by winning 50 member seats in the election held to select members for the Akmeemana Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society.
The joint opposition managed to obtain the majority power from the total number of member seats in this election held yesterday (06), while the National People's Power was only able to obtain 43 member seats.
Accordingly, the joint opposition group is currently preparing work to establish the new administration of the cooperative society.
