Sri Lanka has recorded 27,043 tourist arrivals so far in June, according to data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
The latest figures show that 11,216 visitors arrived from India, accounting for 42% of total arrivals. Other key source markets include the United Kingdom with 1,938 arrivals, Australia with 1,562, China with 1,496, and Bangladesh with 1,241.
In comparison, Sri Lanka welcomed 138,241 tourists in June 2025.
With the release of the latest June data, total tourist arrivals for 2026 have risen to 1,049,065. Of these, 261,476 were from India, 100,031 from the United Kingdom, and 76,628 from Russia, the SLTDA said.
