Investigations into the theft of dollars during foreign payments continue to take place, according to Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Nalinda Jayatissa.
The Minister made this statement while responding to a question raised by a journalist regarding USD 2.5 million that went into the hands of hackers, during the press conference held today (16) to announce cabinet decisions.
Facts regarding the incidents were reported to the court, and all departments investigating computer crimes currently conduct probes, the Minister noted.
Furthermore, the Central Bank and the relevant institutions also look into the dollars stolen by hackers, the Minister added.
