The first efficiency bar examination for officers in the Sri Lanka Teachers' Service working in national and provincial schools is scheduled to be held in September, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education states.
The gazette notification regarding this was issued yesterday, and this examination is being held as the first stage of three efficiency bar examinations required for the promotions of teachers.
Teachers must face three efficiency bar examinations for promotions in the teachers' service, and ten modules must be studied for that.
The third efficiency bar examination is held for Class 2 Grade I teachers, and studying three modules is compulsory there as well.
The relevant gazette notifications for the second and third efficiency bar examinations are scheduled to be issued in the future.
Applications for the first efficiency bar examination will be accepted online from the day after tomorrow until July 17, and applicants can submit applications by accessing the official website of the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka.
