President Anura Kumara Dissanayake states that it is the government's goal to increase dollar revenue by strengthening local industrialists and directing them towards the export market.
The President expressed this while participating in a discussion held yesterday (26) at the Presidential Secretariat with a group of prominent industrialists in the export sector, as well as those in the rubber and tea sectors.
Furthermore, the President mentioned that maximum government support will be extended to anyone prepared to invest and conquer the market.
New programmes that should be implemented to encourage local industrialists to enter the export sector were also discussed extensively during this meeting.
