Two people drowned after a ferry capsized in the Loggal Oya reservoir in Badulla.

The deceased belonged to a group of 30 individuals who arrived from the Kandy area for a birthday party, according to the police.


Eleven individuals, including three small children, travelled on the relevant ferry at the time of the mishap.
