Pathadumbara NS wins U-16 girls’ 4x800m at Hiru Relay

Pathadumbara National School secured victory in the under-16 girls' 4x800m event at the ongoing Hiru Relay Championship 2026 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama.

Walala A. Rathnayake Central College claimed 2nd place, while Walasmulla National School finished in 3rd.

Hiru Media Network, under the guidance of Chairman Rayynor Silva, provides full sponsorship for this tournament.

The Sri Lanka Schools Athletics Association organises this relay championship for the fourth time with approval from the Ministry of Education.

The event involves over 4,500 school students from across the island, covering all age categories.
