Senior Deputy Inspector General in charge of the Eastern Province, Varuna Jayasundara, was summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

He was summoned to record a statement regarding allegations of maintaining connections with an organised criminal figure known as ‘Kehelbeddera Padme.’
