Roof collapses at Negombo Prison during inmate protest

The roof of a building collapsed in the afternoon after a group of male inmates climbed onto it to conduct a protest, following a violent clash between two groups of inmates at the Negombo Prison last afternoon (5).

Four inmates who sustained injuries from the incident were admitted to the hospital for treatment, police stated.
