Wellawatte Police have informed the Colombo Additional Magistrate Nuwan Kaushalya that an investigation has been launched into an incident where Rs. 35,000 was obtained by promising to provide a puppy, but the animal was never delivered, resulting in a breach of trust.
The order was made after considering a complaint filed by a woman named Nethmi Silva, a resident of Colombo.
Presenting further details to the court, police stated that the suspect had allegedly deceived the complainant by taking money under the pretext of providing a puppy.
