Arson attack on Thambili Lahiru's house under investigation

An unidentified group set fire to the house of 'Thambili Lahiru', identified as an organised criminal, in the Kudagala Ara, Julampitiya in Middeniya, last night (08).

Middeniya Police stated that Thambili Lahiru is currently detained at the Boossa Prison, having been brought back to the country while hiding in Indonesia.

Although Thambili Lahiru and his family previously resided in this house, Police stated that no one occupied the property recently.

Reports indicate that only his mother visited the house occasionally.

No individuals sustained injuries in the fire, and Middeniya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
