The Sri Lankan freshwater prawn cultivation is showing significant growth, the National Aquaculture Development Authority announced.
A special project is also being implemented by the government for this purpose under a financial allocation of 200 million rupees.
The survival percentage of prawns increased to between 40 and 55 percent due to this project, which cultivates prawns under the cage method.
