6 Tamil political parties to announce fresh collaboration

Six Tamil political parties are to announce a fresh political collaboration on Monday during a special media briefing.

The All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) led by former minister Rishad Bathiudeen, Ceylon Workers' Congress led by Senthil Thondaman, Democratic Tamil National Alliance (DTNA) with Velayutham Nallanadar as its Secretary General, Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi with M.A. Sumanthiran as its General-Secretary, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress led by former minister Rauf Hakeem, and Tamil Progressive Alliance led by Mano Ganesan are participating in this initiative.

These political parties are to jointly move forward on an agreement based on areas of common interest.

Accordingly, the parties are to disclose more details to the media on Monday on their reached a consensus to work together on matters of mutual concern.
