Former Chief Minister (CM) of the Eastern Province Sivanesathurai Santhirakanthan alias Pillayan was further remanded in custody in connection with a five-person homicide incident that allegedly took place in the Eastern Province.
He was presented to the Batticaloa Magistrate's Court via video technology today.
Accordingly, the Magistrate ordered him to be further remanded in custody until 24 July.
