The Court of Appeal postponed until August 03 the further consideration of facts regarding the writ application submitted by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa requesting to issue an order preventing his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in connection with the investigations being conducted into the Easter Sunday terrorist attack incident.
President's Counsel Romesh de Silva, who appeared on behalf of petitioner Gotabaya Rajapaksa, presented reply submissions when this application was called today (23).
Thereafter, the court ordered to postpone further submissions until August 03.
