The number of dengue cases reported so far this year has risen to 81,511, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
The number of dengue deaths have reached 61.
The highest number of patients was reported in July, the unit added.
Accordingly, 26,136 dengue patients were reported in July, so far.
The National Dengue Control Unit points out that 47,670 patients were reported in June and up to now in July.
Meanwhile, the highest number of dengue patients was reported from the Western Province, with that number standing at 43,132.
Currently, 175 high-risk dengue zones exist, states the National Dengue Control Unit.
