Rs. 20mn project launched at Dunhinda Waterfall

Construction of a new viewing centre at the famous Dunhinda Waterfall premises in the Soranathota Divisional Secretariat Division of Badulla, which attracts many local and foreign tourists, officially commenced yesterday (27).

The foundation stone laying ceremony took place near the old Dunhinda viewing platform under the auspices of Deputy Minister of Tourism Ruwan Ranasinghe.

The Uva Provincial Ministry of Tourism allocated Rs. 20 million for this new centre, which will replace the dilapidated viewing platform that is over 50 years old.

This project aims to provide visiting tourists with a high-standard viewing experience and necessary infrastructure facilities.
