SJB proposes committee to address backlog of cases

The proposal signed by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and opposition parliamentarians requesting the appointment of a special committee to expedite accumulated cases, minimise prison congestion, and obtain permanent solutions for conflicts occurring in them was handed over to the Speaker.

This proposal was signed yesterday (03) by the parliamentary group of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
