An alleged organised crime gang member known as 'Bodhirajapura Vimukthi' was arrested by the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Striking Force along with narcotics and several weapons.
Reports state that he was planning to hack a person to death in Boralesgamuwa.
Initial investigations revealed that this murder was planned on behalf of the gang of an allaged leading drug trafficker and organised criminal named 'Chamila', who has fled to Dubai.
At the time of the suspect's arrest, 23.5 grams of ice narcotics, a sword, and a knife were seized from his possession.
The Walana Central Anti-Corruption Striking Force is conducting investigations regarding the incident.
