Three suspects arrested in Malaysia, including "Rathmalane Saima" who is a chief accomplice of organized underworld gang leader Kanjipani Imran, were brought to the island under a special security arrangement, police state.
These suspects were arrested during a special operation conducted jointly by the Malaysian Police, Interpol, and a Sri Lankan police team.
Investigations revealed that this suspect named Dhanushka Kaushalya alias "Rathmalane Saima" acted as the chief activist who handled money management, financial affairs, and social media operations of Kanjipani Imran's drug network.
The three suspects brought to the island are to be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigations.
