Motorcycle linked to shooting Backhoe Saman's mother found

A motorcycle suspected of being used by gunmen who arrived to shoot the mother of alleged organised criminal 'Backhoe Saman' found, the Urubokka police state.

The motorcycle was found by the police this morning, left in a tea estate near a culvert in the Dampahala, Polwatta area on the Urubokka-Matara road.

Red and black coloured helmets, a black bag were seized by the police along with the motorcycle.

Further investigations are currently being conducted by the Urubokka police to confirm whether the discovered motorcycle is the exact one used by the individuals who carried out the shooting.
